How to access Folders from profile that no longer exists?

I had to reload XP and in the process format C: drive. My Documents were on
another partition so I thought they were safe but I cannot access the files
now that my old profile is gone (I guess that's the problem anyway). Is there
some way to get to these files?

I certainly hope that you had the files backed up to an
external disk, because the ones on your C: drive are gone?
