How to add a picture to one slide as it appears in my file

I am trying to add pictures to my slide show and when I add it from my file
on my desktop, it shows up about 1/3 of the size as it does in my file. How
do I fix this?

The quick fix is to simply grab the sizing handles and resize the picture

I have also found that if you click on the object placeholder (so that it is
highlighted) before you paste your picture, it will usually enlarge the
picture so that itfills up the entire placeholder.

Ron's answer could be your problem! If there are placeholders on your slide
layout they can resize your picture. Try using a blank layout and if you are
using "copy & paste", use insert picture from file instead.
