how to add video links to my web site.

i am new to FP and i am having a fit trying to upload my video links. i
continue to get the small color "box" that does not respond as a link. my
videos are save as realmedia files "rm" files. i have video editing software
that i have created the videos and have saved them as realmedia. i have read
the instructions to do this. i have been able to load the video using the web
component in the tools. but i want to create buttons that viewers may choose
to launch the videos.

just make a thumbnail representing the video, place it on the page by normal
means, then right click it hit hyperlink and browse to the related video
file in your web structure (probably hit the target frame button and chose
_blank to make the video open in a new window).

thankyou I did get a response in normal view of FP but not in "preview" . if
i use a graphic picture from my photo files can i link it to the video link
and will it publish to my server. i have another ? when writing the url
should my links read http://www.mysite.com/video.rm (for real media) or am i
missing something.

it'll work, and your link should look like that. if you do it through
FrontPage's hyperlink dialog box and just browse to the file you cant go
wrong.
