How to allocated a new resource pool?

Hi,

I have created a resource pool which is allocated across numerous projects.
I noticed that i had entered a resource twice which caused over allocation.
I deleted the name of this resource and entered a new resource.
This new resource has now been assigned tasks from the previous resource but
only when viewed in the resource usage option. When i view the actual
project file the correct resource is allocated.
How can i delete these tasks from this resource if possible?
Can i create a new resource pool and allocate this to the existing file and
override the old resource pool?
