How to avoid missing animation while using a prior version?

I would like to know how to embed the animations into a presentation so that
when i transfer computers and use a prior version of the powerpoint, i will
not lose all my animation data.

You really can't embed the animations. What you might want to do is to play
the presentation with the 2003 viewer instead of with an older version. You
won't be able to edit the animations, but you will be able to play the
presentation.

You have two options, use the PowerPoint viewer to view the presentations,
don't use animations that are unavailable in older versions. :)
