How to Break Out Costs

R

Still pretty new to MS Project. I have a project file created with costs
associated with the tasks. The costs represent different company's work
efforts. I have now been asked/tasked to track the cost progress per
company. Any suggestions?

Rich,
New to Project? I extend my sympathies. :)

As far as breaking out costs to each company it depends on how the file
is set up. For example, are there unique resources associated with each
company? Are the tasks themselves identified to each company? File
structure can be a real benefit or a real deterrent to getting the cost
breakout you want.

Depending on the answers to the above, it may be possible to use the
grouping feature (Project/Group By), or the data may already be broken
out when viewed on the Resource Usage view.
