How to change all document's format?

Can someone tell me if I can cut and paste the text from another
source (say a web page) and then select something which will change
the appearance of all the text to a font and format which I have
predefined?

I like to use Arial or Veradana with a font size of 9 or 10 and
with line spacing of 1.3.

How do I pre-set this prefernce in Word? I am using Word 2000
(version 9.0.2720).

Create a paragraph style with the font characteristics and line spacing you
require and apply it to the text. Then with the text selected hit CTRL+Space
to reset the text to your underlying style.

You can also set the style (font, size, etc.) of your receiving documen
before pasting. Then instead of pasting directly, choose Edit t
"Paste Special" and choose "Unformatted Text." The text will take o
the formatting you have set in your receiving document
