Dear JoAnn
Thanks for taking the time to answer. When I go to edit - personal
information, the only thing I can't change is the logo. Am I missing
something?

From the Help file:

Edit a logo for a personal information set

1. Open a Microsoft Publisher-designed publication that contains a logo, or
insert a logo placeholder as a personal information (personal information:
Information about you or your organization, such as name, address, and
organization name that Publisher stores and reuses in subsequent
publications you create.) component.

How?
On the Insert menu, point to Personal Information, and then click Logo.
If necessary, reformat the information, and resize and move the component.

2. To edit the logo, select it, and then do one of the following:

* To change the text in the logo, click the text box (text box: A movable,
resizable container for text or graphics. Use text boxes to position several
blocks of text on a page or to give text a different orientation from other
text in the document.) in the logo and then type the text you want.

* To change the picture used in the logo, subselect (subselect: To select
individual shapes within a group.) the picture, right-click the picture, and
then choose the picture you want.
* To change the logo design, click the wizard button and make the changes
you want in the Logo Designs and Logo Options task panes.

3. To replace the logo with a logo picture file that you already have, click
the wizard button, click Logo Options in the Logo Designs task pane, click
Inserted picture, and then click Choose picture to locate the picture file.

Dear JoAnn

I did find all this information but it does not let me change the DEFAULT
logo. If I have to do this every time, it's painful. Do you know a way to
make the change permanent, short of removing and re-installing publisher
itself?

Doing this, I have to edit the logo each and every time for each and every
document.

HELP PLEASE!

I was able to do mine once and it's been done. Did you do this step?

3. To replace the logo with a logo picture file that you already have, click
the wizard button, click Logo Options in the Logo Designs task pane, click
Inserted picture, and then click Choose picture to locate the picture file.

Once you do that and close that file, it will say "You have modified the
logo in this publication. Do you want to save the new logo to the Primary
Business personal information set?"

Tell it yes and it's done.

We all have moments of being thick as a brick. The important thing is that
you got the logo changed. :)
