How to delete useless styles

E

Elena

Unfortunatly, at the begining of my work witn Office 2003 I have created a
lot of styles for documents. These styles are located in the template of this
documents (the majority of them are based on the Normal.dot) and in
documents. As we are working by intranet these styles are multiplied and I
don't know how I can killed these styles everywhere and forever.
Would be grateful for any ideas.

Whether you can delete them depends on the styles you used. If they
are the Heading styles then you will be unable to delete the since
they are utilized for various features.

If you have a lot of styles to delete then the Organizer is the tool
you want to use. Go to Tools/Templates and Add-ins and click the
Organizer command.

Thank you for your answer,
but in reality I want to ask how I can be sure that I delete all these
styles and керун wouldn't appear again?

Since I don't know if you are referring to built-in styles or
user-defined styles I can't really say. If they are built-in then they
could potentially reappear.

Since you have Word 2003 you can protect the document format for
specific styles but there are a few caveats in doing so. For example
you would also need to create character styles for Bold, Italic, or
any other formats you would like to implement, and all formatting,
other than utilizing styles, will be disabled.
