how to find directory to install update for sp3 cd

i rec'd the office pro xp cd patch in the mail .. when i put it in it opens
and shows two files ... full file or standard ... when i click on either one
i get another file and when i click on it .. it requests the location i want
to install it to .. this is where i am confused ... how do i determine what
the directory path is ??
