How to find out how many outlook contacts I have?

I imported my contacts from another program and I want to find out how many
contacts I have now in Outlook to confirm that all my 700+ contacts got
transfered. How do I check how many contacts I have?

The number of contacts should be listed in the Status Bar. You can make sure
the Status Bar is visible by checking the option on the View menu
