Do you have a functioning connection to the Internet? Are you getting this
message during Windows installation or during Office installation? If you are
getting this message during Office installation, can you get to other Web
sites (this is a key question)?
If your internet connection seems to work for all things except for
activation, you always have the option of calling Microsoft to get the
activation code. I've done it many times...it's automated and pretty easy and
painless.
If none of this jhelps, please provide more detail in your post.
