I joined the security database. I can open the back end ascs_be.mdb.
It automatically
comes up with the account and login. If I try to open the front end in
exclusive mode it works with the password and login but it doesn't
give me
design view, only form view. I don't have any developer menus. If I
hold
down the shift key to bypass the startup form it works, I do get
design view
but I can't change an object.
Can there be a missing password? Is it
possible to have a different admin password on the front-end and the
back-end? If so is my only remedy finding out the other password or
can I
add myself to the security database for the front-end?
The files are on the Z:\myfolder drive. I couldn't relink them and
move the backend so I left the three files in the Z:drive. That
folder is read only but the database files are not.
It is a mystery. I can open the backend but not the frontend.
