How to get rid of automatic hyperlinks

Everytime I try to copy and paste text from a browser or email client, I end
up with a hyperlink to the resource itself, instead of just the text. It
doesn't even contain the text itself but the window title. How do I turn this
off?

To turn off the hyperlink showing:

Right click on the Text field => uncheck the option "Detect URLs".

that doesn't help at all, because i'm not pasting URLs. i'm just copy &
pasting text like from your post and i end up with a hyperlink entitled "How
to get rid of automatic hyperlinks in Groove", which leads to this post.

if i post the same into this posting, for example, i get exactly what i
marked and copied.
