How to get Spell check to remember previous checks?

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel How do I get Spell Check to remember previous checks of a given document? (I'm not talking about adding words to a custom dictionary--just within one document.)

If I have 100 slides and Spell Check them and close the file and re-open it, spell check runs through the entire thing as if I hadn't done it before?

In contrast, Word for Mac remembers what has been previously checked. My prior version of PPT in Windows also remembered. Is there an option to adjust this?

Thanks.

When you run the Spell Checker use the "Ignore All" button rather than
"Ignore"... The latter simply marks the word to be excluded during the
current session. "Ignore All" tags it to be permanently ignored.

Thanks! That works.

In contrast to Powerpoint for MAC, Word for Mac 2008 and Powerpoint Windows both remember prior instances of "ignore" as well as "ignore all" but I can get used to that change
