How to hide resource tasks (in Resource Usage view) from old proje

Hello all,

I have a slight problem with viewing tasks assigned to resources in Resource
Usage view. Under each resource I can see not only tasks from my current
project and other parallel ongoing projects, but also tasks that were
assigned to the resource long time ago in some completed-and-forgotten
project.

Could you advise me how to clean-up the view? Is it possible somehow mark
the project in Enterprise Options (or somewhere) that it is fully completed
to avoid seeing it's tasks under resources?

Than you in advance,
Marius

Marius,
One simple approach is to apply the Work Incomplete filter.

Hope this helps.

While connecting to the project server account you will see window titled
'Project Server Accounts' in that uncheck 'Load Summary Resource Assignments'
at the bottom.

Let me know if this helps

John,

This approach was first thing I tried before posting question here :) but
after your suggestion I decided to investigate thoroughly the reason why it
did not help.

It appears that "old task" is completed only in that "old project" for some
reason. In "new project", when I browse the resurce, I see that it has no
actual working hours assigned to "old task", that's why it is not hidden
after applying filter. I tried publishing both projects, but it did not help.

Any ideas what I have missed?

Marius

Krishna,

Thank you for your answer but unfortunately I haven't seen window you
suggested. I'm using MS Project 2003 SP2. BTW, maybe it's possible to find
this option in some configuration menu?

If you are not seeing means you are connecting the project server
automatically.
Goto Tools / Enterprise Options / Microsoft Office Project Server accounts,
click on 'Manually control connection state' radion option. Close Project Pro
and open again. You should now see a window called 'Project Server Accounts'
before connecting to the server. Uncheck 'Load Summary Resource
Assignments'. Let me know how it goes.

Thanks
Krishna
