How do I take the icon from my desktop to the taskbar for Outlook?

Ok to start with make sure you can view hidden files and folders. You can do
this by opening up My Computer and clicking Tools>Folder Options>View>
highlight the ninth button down on the list. Bingo.

Now create a shortcut for Outlook Express in the folder c:\Documents and
Settings\Default User\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Quicklaunch. You know how to do this right?

Now go to your taskbar, right click and select Toolbars>QuickLaunch.

There we go
