How to identify underallocated resources for the month

Steve

I need to identify underallocated resources for the month from the Resource
Usage Sheet. Is there an easy method to measure and set on a pre-determined
fixed number of hours (work hours for the month)? It seems to me I could use
filtering but I struggle with setting up a resource underallocated filter for
a specific dat range for the month. Any ideas?

Thank You

Consider using the Resource Graphs instead.
If you right click on the graph, you can change what is shown on the graph.
Select Availability as one example.

It is difficult to show availability or work on the resource sheet since it
is time phased data. You can, however, insert the Work (and related columns)
on the resrouce sheet and it will give you totals.

You can easily do it in Excel. If you export the planned work at a
granularity of a week (since most people work a fixed number of hours a
week), then you can subtract the planned work from their available hours
to measure spare capacity.

Not entirely automated but easily done with a couple of macros.
