How to import template into default location

B

Is anybody else p... with the change that happened after 2000 where the default template location doesn't seem to be accessible. If it is, I would dearly like to know how. How do you import a template into DocumentsandSettings/Userid/Application Data/Microsoft/Templates

I know I can change the file location where templates are picked up, but I want it automatic so the user doesn't have to go through that step.

The first thing we need to be aware of is that the Template
Locations can vary with the Operating System version.

The second is that "Windows" has gone from being a
'two book' DIY affair to an Industrial Strength, Secure,
Multi User Operating System - And a VERY LARGE
number of Books indeed to completely cover it.

Now, to the best of my knowledge, 'Importing' a Template
is a matter of 'copying' it to the location you obviously
know so well.

Oh! PS
No! I am not p.... - a number of astute Network
Managers are using the 'User Templates' location
to deliver a highly structured Template Service on
a per user basis, the Corporate Templates being in
'Group Templates'......!!
