How to include text using field IF

E

Elena

I'd like to use such opportunity as including texts by certain conditions. I
have a field in my document, this field can have different meanings. Then I'd
like to include text #1 if the field has one meaning or include text #2 if
the field has another meaning. Texts which I'm including is located in
separetly files (these files are in the same folder with main document). But
I can't do it. Everytime Word shows me a mistake.
Can you give me an example?
And also I can use only certain fields for such task or it can be any field.
Thank in advance

It may be easier for you to turn on the Mail Merge toolbar and under
"Insert Word Field" select "If..Then..Else".

Otherwise it would be easier to help you if we had an example of the
field you are creating. You can press Alt + F9 to toggle the fields
codes in order to view the syntax you are using.

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email can not be acknowledged.
