how to mail merge publisher 2007

Everytime I mail merge in publisher 2007, it sticks the same name duplicated
on the same page when doing postcards.
Please help

I am not a fan of the new printer/page setup. The following worked for me.

In page setup, select 1/4 Letter, in the drop down select duplicate. Select the
duplicate, okay, open the mail merge wizard from Tools, setup the merge. From
file, print setup, select "Multiple pages per sheet." Print preview should show
four different entries.
Do a test this way, in the page range, tick entries, enter 1,2,3,4. (Use plain
paper for the test).

Try looking for the "Multiple pages per sheet" rather than "Multiple
copies per sheet" Page Setup option.

Mary, I am having trouble merging and printing two postcards per 8.5X11
portrait.
Also I tried four postcards to a page 1/4 per 8.5X11 portrait. My merge
prints same name on all postcards. Have you had this problem and how did you
fix it? Any help would be appreciated. Lisa

When you merge you can only have one card on your screen. If you are looking at
print preview, all the cards will be the same (this was suppose to be fixed). I
have yet to get the print setup to behave. As far as I am concerned it is
awful...

I just tried a postcard merge, I know I set it up correctly, it still only
printed one entry per page. I tried the second time, got four on the page, all
the entries were the same, the printer printed a second page with crop marks. I
can't get labels to print either.

I have spoken with the developers about printing issues, they say it will be
okay in the beta refresh whenever that is.

Yes... this is indeed horrible. I have done tons and tons of merges
with Publisher 2003 and it simply does not print correctly in 2007 - I
always get the same entry duplicated on every label. when is the Beta
refresh coming out?

I have no idea when the refresh will be available. I have to agree the print
function in 2007 leaves a lot to be desired. I have yet to be able to setup a
custom booklet.
