How to make task duration of 3 calendar months, in MS Project Mana

Eitan-F

I would like to count 3 calader months (28/31/30 days) for a task.
What is the syntex in the 'Duration' column?
The syntax: 3 mons, and 3 emons, both does not do it.

Hi Eitan-F,

The duration measurement "month" is defined on the Tools>Options, calendar
tab. By default it is defined as 20 working days. It is not variable. I
suggest using days or if you want to count nonworking time in the duration,
edays.

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Eitan-F,
One clarification to what Julie stated. The setting for "month" in
Tools/Options is a single setting for all months. In that regard it is
not "variable" from month to month. But it is changeable by the user.
You could adjust it to be "30" which is slightly more than the average
(i.e. 29.666) of the three months you noted in your post. However I
doubt that is what you really want. Of all the possibilities for entries
in the Duration field, "month" is the least accurate. I suggest you use
days or weeks instead.

Hope this helps.
