How to Migrate/Reinstall Office 2000 Upgrade

My computer 8 years ago came with Office 95 preinstalled. Later, I bought
Office 2000 Upgrade Edition and did upgrade to it. I have also upgraded the
CPU, and migrated to a bigger hard disk.

Now, I want to migrate to a new computer under WinXP, and so reinstall
Office 2000 on that computer.

But, the 2000 upgrade edition is designed to install over a prior version,
which will not be on the new computer. Also, what will happen with licensing
on the new computer?

I don't have any OEM disks for the original Office95, and the OEM is not in
business now.

Either that or find someone that has Office 95/97, borrow it, install it and
use it to upgrade to 2000. MS won't like my idea but there's not much they
can do about it.

Thanks for the replies.
I looked around the internet and found the following suggestion given to
another person with this problem. I haven't tried it. Does it work?

-- Copy the folder "c:\program files\microsoft office" to the new machine's
disk. Then Office 2000 Upgrade will do a full install over it
