How to narrow scope for tag search?

J

Show all Tagged Notes | In the Tags Summary pane, narrow the Search scope
(if needed,) | and then click Refresh Results.

I don't see how to narrow the Search scope to just ONE tag

Is there a demo?

Thanks,

I don't think you can, and I've been looking for ways to
effectively/creatively use tags; and I think this concept would be an
excellent addition to the software. It's a good idea and I'll expand it a
little.

What would be great is if you could filter for paragraphs that have "tag x
AND tag y" (list only the pghs that have both tags), or filter for paragraphs
that had "tag x OR tag y" (list the pghs that have either tag), or
combinations. Right now it just lists all the tags, categorized, which is
like having "or" but it could be a lot more useful with this type of filter.
Paragraphs with multiple tags are just listed separately and you can't see
what the combinations are.

If you wanted a to-do list, this would let you have a "checkbox" tag and
couple that with another tag for "internal" another for "external", maybe
have other tags "immediate", "tickler" etc., that are similar in concept.
Then you could collect up the intersecting categories (find the tags that are
"unchecked" and "internal" and "immediate". Or you might want to have a
paragraph that is "must remember" intersect with other tags for specific
classes. Then you could collect up all the "must remember" but could also
separatly collect up the "must remember" for "psychology". But I don't
think you can do any of this.

Maybe it is there and I just haven't found it. Hopefully someone at MS
sends this idea to their onenote and tags it as "good idea" and "must
implement in next version" :)

if this is correct, then it answers my question, in another post, about
being able to search on multiple tags. and it means that onenote, which was
about to become my note taking program, may not be so useful after all. too
bad.
