I am using outlook XP and I can't open an exe file attached to an email
received. outlook blocks it.

Does any one knows a workaround to that behaviour please?

Thanks

See http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/esecup/getexe.htm. I also
downloaded AttachmentOptions from a link there which gives me a
convenient UI to decide which filetypes to allow.

Also, be do a search in the newsgroups before asking. This question
gets asked repeatedly so the answer is likely to already be in a prior
post.

Thanks all

I also got a the following answer with a program that may help every one

Have the sender of the exe file "insert as file" using
Word for the email editor. Outlook considers .exe files as
a Level 1 security risk and therefore blocks the file.
Just make sure that the .exe file is from a safe source
and your anti-virus is up-to-date.
