how to refer to a task by it's ID number

Hi!
I need to use in a formula a reference to a task by it's ID number (like the
duration of a task with a number <current ID>+1)
Can I do this with standard fields and functions of Project or in some other
way?

This would have to be addressed through either coding or sql queries
depending on whether you are talking about offline or online projects.

Elena,
Why not use the menu item "Go to Task" which is found under the Edit
menu? It won't give ID + 1 but that's a pretty trivial exercise once you
have the ID of the task above it.
