How to remove chapters?

Good morning,
I have a document in which I have a lot of redundant chapters I want to
remove. Therefore I click on the chapter title (which is "Heading 2"), but
then there seems to be no command "remove chapter" or something which allows
me removing all information that is located under that heading.

Does anybody have an idea?

Display the document in Outline mode, collapsed, so you see only the level 1
headings. Select and delete.
