How to remove office 2000, no CDs

O

officeremover

Bought used PC with office 2000. How can i remove the
office 2000. I downloaded the eraser2000.exe and
erasecd2.exe but they ask you to use them after you
uninstall office the normal way which asks for the
original CDs. Thank you

Hi, officeremover,

Beth Melton gets gets credit for this response:

1) In the Registry drill down to:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\

2) Locate the GUID for Office in the Subkeys. You'll probably need to
select each one until you see "Microsoft Office..." in the Display Name
on the right. It would look something like:
{90280409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0050048383C9}

3) Locate the UninstallString and double-click it. Then copy the Value.
(<Ctrl C>)

4) Go to Start/Run and paste (<Ctrl V>) the copied value and change the
"I" to "X" (It's after the forward slash and before the GUID). It should
look something like:
MsiExec.exe /X{90280409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0050048383C9}

5) Run the command

Note that you will still need to follow these KB articles if you want to
completely remove the Office once this is complete:

If your system is not Windows 2000, follow the links in those articles to
the appropriate articles.
