How to set up an A5 booklet

How do I set up an A5 booklet in Publisher2003 using A4 sheets landscape,
with pages printed in correct order? I know it's supposed to work just by
setting Booklet but it doesn't and there is no option to print pages in order.

By default, when you select booklet, the pages are presented in the correct
order and landscaped.

What problem are you having? Do you have the status bar enabled (view, status
bar)?

Yes, the Status Bar is enabled, but firstly when I create a new pub and make
it Booklet it looks ok onscreen but when I import a Word doc the page setup
reverts to full page. If I then change it to booklet, the right page is wider
than the left and if I print it is still full page. I'm using a desktop
laserjet6 which doesn't handle double-sided but I can't see that it needs to
as I can do that on a photocopier.

Instead of importing a Word document, with your text box selected, right-click,
click change text, text file, browse to the Word file. Publisher will ask about
overflow and additional pages.

Thanks, but when I set up a new pub it has no text boxes and doesn't give the
Change Text option, or the Insert, Text File option.

All you have to do is create an empty text box.

Aha Success! To adjust the textbox size do you drag the initial box or set
page setup?

Simply resize the text box to your specs. I am so glad you have it working.
