How to set up multiple unique Gantt templates in Project Server 2.

Using project server 2007, I configured the enterprise global template. I
wanted to have two unique templates. The Enterprise Gantt chart for the
initial creation of projects would include a limited number of columns that
pertain to duration, start and end, predecessors and resources. The
Enterprise Tracking Gantt would be used after the project is published and
work is being reported against the tasks. This Gantt would include baseline
info plus the Earned Value metrics columns as well.

After I configured the enterprise global template for the Enterprise
Tracking Gantt to my preferred layout, I discovered that the changes also
applied to the Enterprise Gantt. When I tried to remove the excess columns
from Enterprise Gantt, it removed them as well from the Enterprise Tracking
Gantt.

How do I configure two different gantt chart formats at the project server
level so that these 2 standardized formats can be available with different
purposes and information throughout our organization?

Thanks

"Views" use "Tables" to define what columns are visible. It sounds like
your "Enterprise Gantt Chart" and "Enterprise Tracking Gantt" are using the
same "Enterprise Entry" table. You must make a separate table from
"View>Table>More Tables" and call it something like "Enterprise Tracking
Entry" and apply that to the "Enterprise Tracking Gantt" view. Then the
column changes you make will be kept separate.

Views are based on tables which contain the columns.
It sounds as if both views are sharing the same table.

You can create different tables for each view.
From the view menu select tables, more tables, copy the table you want and
name it *EnterpriseTrackingGantt or something memorable. Edit the table to
contain the fields and formatting you want. Click OK to save the changes.

From the view menu select more views. Find the Enterprise Tracking Gantt,
click edit. Set the table for this view to the one you just made. Click ok
to save the changes.

You can do similar things to create your own views and tables for different
purposes.
