How to Verify Install of Service Packs and Updates Visio 2002 Pro

I have Visio Pro 2002and Win XP Pro. I went to the Office XP Visio Update
Site at
http://office.microsoft.com/officeu...ID=CD010225671033&CTT=4&Origin=CD010224911033

and found three updates, and tried to install them. They were Service Pack
2, Security Patch KB822212, Plus, and Visio Pro SR1. I assume SR1=SP1, but
am not completely sure. I know I don't find an SP1, and I don't see SR1
defined here

Description of the Standard Terminology That Is Used to Describe Microsoft
Software Updates

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=824684.

I'm not sure why with Visio there isn't SP1 and SP2, but maybe its product
team feels "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds" they way
Mr. Emerson said so SR1 was thrown in to mix it up.

I either got a successful install box or a you already have this installed
when I ran the downloads. The already installed puzzled me, and Add/Remove
is no help but I've seen that before with IE and XP and Direct X
hotfixes/updats and can always verify them with registry keys. Add/Remove
has Visio listed and and an "Update Installed." I don't know what Update is
installed from that--in contrast XP Hotfixes are listed and ID'd by KB.

In the Registry at HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Office 10 I can find nothing; and
at HKLM/Software/Microsoft Visio I can only find under the
Installer/Installed Products subkey 90500409-6D54-11D4-BEE3-00C04F99. I
can't find any other possibly related keys.

In my downloads folder, I have listed V10RIPEN (SR1), Visio 2002-KB822212
(9/3/03 Security Patch) and Visio 2002 KB830242 (SP2) and I executed them.

Can anyone tell me *how to verify* I actually have these 3 updates installed
given the nebulous incomplete way Visio updates are listed in Add/Remove ?
(only *one* which goes by the vague name "Update Installed)? I installed
the Office 2003 updates, and the Word 2003 Update but their KBs don't have
any info that makes me think they covered / or related to Visio.

Tia,

Chad Harris
