how to verifying a task is visible

hello,
I am reading a ms project file in my program.
I am updating the Start and Finish text value color for each and ever
task using *SelectTaskField*. For doing it, immediately after openin
the ms project task i am collapsing using *ShowAllTasks* a
*SelectTaskField*. expects the row and column values.
but my requirement is that i should not collapse the mpp plan.
is there any way to achieve the same.
