Is there an option to stop HTML graphics from being downloaded in email sent
to outlook? I'm using Outlook 2000 SP3.

Thanks,
Alain Dekker

Hi Alain,

Unfortunately in both Microsoft Outlook versions 2000 and 2002, Microsoft
Internet Explorer is responsible for much of the HTML email rendering
process, and the only method available for preventing Outlook from
downloading graphics from HTML mail is to disable this feature in Internet
Explorer:

1. In Internet Explorer, from the Tools menu, click Internet Options
2. On the Advanced tab, locate the "Show Pictures" setting, and uncheck it
3. Click OK to close the Internet Options dialog

At this point, graphics should not display in Outlook HTML email; however,
this will also prevent graphics display in the Internet Explorer browser as
well.

This is a much-requested feature by Microsoft Outlook users, and may be
under consideration for future Outlook products; however, I have no
additional information at this time.

Hope this helps!
