Hyperlink field in a table to a local drive

I created a hyperlink field in a table, and used an
Update Query to construct the path to the file which
resides on another hard drive on the same computer.
When you click on the path, it should open the file
(in this case an MP3 that should start playing in Media
Player, but nothing happens.
If you edit the hyperlink, and you only have to
remove one letter, and replace it with the same letter,
it works great. Any suggestions on what I am doing
wrong? Thanks.
