HYPERLINK HELL

Amy

Okay, here is the problem that I am battling with. First
a disclaimer: I have never used Frontapage before and am
fumbling my way through it. That being said... I am
trying to hyperlink a picture to another page. Simple
right. I have done so before and had no problem. Okay,
everytime that I do so this time (which is now three
times that I have deleted and redone everything) what
happens is that when you click on the picture it just
shifts the position of the picture. If you click on the
picture again (in its new position)it will take you to
the appropriate page, but this is after the confusing
shift. Does anyone know why it is doing this shifting
thing? How can I fix it? PLEASE HELP. If possible can
you email me at (e-mail address removed). Thank you to the
brave soul who can save me from HYPERLINK HELL!

Provide us with a link to the page with the problems?

Also, right click on the picture in Normal view, then click on
the HTML tab and post the HTML code starting with:

<img src="

and ending with:

Feel free to post any other surrounding code around such tags
as well.

Go into HTML mode...

then go down to the first line that says <style>

You'll see:

<style>
<!--
a:active { float: right }
-->
</style>

Delete everything above. That style statement is telling the
hyperlink to jump to the right when it becomes active. Active
means it has been selected. Selected is done by clicking on it
with the mouse or by using Tab keys or arrow keys on the
keyboard.

Just delete that style info listed above, start by highlighting
the <style> line and continue down to the </style> and
highlight that line and then once it's highlighted type on the
delete key. Make sure you've only highlighted those lines
above. After you've deleted it save the document and test it
out. ;-)

That all has to be done in HTML view. The <style> tags
will be near the top in one of the first 10 or 15 lines.
