I have an intranet webpage that has hyperlinks to Excel
spreadsheets and Word documents but when you click on
them they open inside Internet Explorer not in Excel or
Word like I want them to do. Does anyone know how to
make this work, please????

Can not be changed on the internet
(only possible on an intranet as a per user setting)
They are known browser file types and will open in IE if the user has Excel or Word

Hi Rick,

You can save the Excel file as web page and then import that file to the
web site. This excel file will open using Internet explorer, but will get
the option to edit with excel.

Hope this helps
