Hyperlinks in Publisher 2000

I'm finding it impossible to insert hyperlinks into the
newsletter I'm creating on Publisher 2000. This will be a
web-based newsletter, and I need to be able to link to
other web sites, email, etc.
Nothing I've found on any of the help sites or Publisher
menus has shown me how to do this. How do I insert a
hyperlink?!?

Jessica, are you working in the Web mode in Publisher? If not, that is
where you need to be. Insert Hyperlink is only available in web publication.
This feature will not be available in print publication mode (unless you
are using Publisher 2002/2003). If you go to the file menu and create a
web publication from your print publication, you indeed will have access
to Insert Hyperlink.
