Hyperlinks not staying in document

I have created a file containing page that contain images that are linked to
other pages within the same presentation file. The problem that I am having
is that these hyperlinks will not stay. When I save and exit the file, they
either point to a different slide than I designated or they are linked to a
URL... that goes nowhere. Can anyone help? PLEASE. I have a deadline that
I've already passed due to these problems and would really appreciate any
help and/or suggestions.

Do you have a lot of hyperlinks. There is a limit to the amount of space
your hyperlinks can take up, and the behavior you describe is what
happens (without warning) when you reach that limit. See this entry from
