Hyperlinks within linked Excel spreadsheet?

I have an Excel 2003 worksheet that includes a column of hyperlinked text. Is
it possible to insert this spreadsheet into PPT 2003 in such a way that (1) I
can access the hyperlinks when in PPT show, and (2) I can link the PPT slide
to the Excel worksheet so I can update it? So far everything I have tried
gives me one or the other but not both.
