I am trying to add a new symbol which is a < or > with a ~ below

Hi, does anyone know how to add a new symbol to the symbols list? I am
trying to create a < or > with a ~ beneath it.

You'll need to use a "large" Unicode font such as Arial Unicode MS. Then
find them at 2272 and 2273 in the Mathematical Operators character subset.

As a further FYI, you cannot "add" or "create" symbols if you are referring
to the Insert>Symbols dialog (2003 & earlier). The characters available are
determined by the fonts installed on the system.
