I am unable to copy/cut to the clipboard

Can anyone help me? I highlight something and hit the copy/cut button and
the paste buttom is illuminated but when I hit the paste button nothing
happens. In fact when I hit the copy/cut button the item selected does not
get shown on the clipboard.

Not sure why this happens, but I've had it happen occasionally, too.
I've fixed the problem by rebooting the system to clear whatever is
interferring with the clipboard.

Note that you can check the contents of the clipboard, to experiment
and watch it, by clicking Start > Run and typing

clipbrd

into the Run input box and hitting enter. This opens the clipboard
viewer so you can see if it is making it.

But I'd suggest you clear your TEMP files and then reboot. See this
