In office 2001 and 2003 I could set up a group e-mail where the names did not
show individually. It appears in XP you can only create lists. Is there
something I am missing? I need to send a group e-mail but do not want
receipiants to see each name?

No version of Outlook has ever had such a feature. Personal distribution lists are expanded when the item is sent. You can, however, put the DL in the Bcc field.
