I can not type in any document in word 2003

I can not open any document in word. It just advises
that "THis modification is not allowed because the
document is locked" I have not locked anything. It will
not let me type or do anything in any document after I
open them. I have tried the help options but can not get
anything to work.

Have you activated Word? Help | Activate Product.

Have you activated your Word program with Microsoft? There is a
command under the help menu. If you haven't activated it, the command will
help you do it. If you have, it will tell you that.
