I cannot open other Publisher documents sent to me. Why not?

When someone sends me a file of a Publisher docmant I cannot open it. Any
suggestions?

I assume you have Publisher. Which version? Which version were the files
created in? What specifically is the problem?

intelligence levels of some of the people we get in here, it never pays to
make assumptions... ;o) <eg> The OP probably *DOESN'T* have Publisher!

Your English teacher told you that one too then? My favourite was my
teacher's one for 'necessary' which I still run through my head now: -

Never
Eat
Cake
Eat
Salmon
Sandwiches
And
Remain
Young

I loved her to bits - best teacher I had (in fact, she was probably the only
teacher I had that was properly qualified! My maths teacher certainly
wasn't! She spent most of our lessons spouting fire and brimstone).

So do I, but I have never misspelt necessary since. Mrs Marion Sykes - best
damned teacher I ever had - taught us Latin and Greek too, not as official
subjects, we didn't take them, but she believed that knowing the origins of
words would make us appreciate the language better. She was right. It did. I
got 2 As at GCSE and one at A-level.
