If it is an activeX textbox, you can only type in it in presentation mode.
If it is a standard textbox, it is possible that you have opened the
presentation in read only mode. This may be due to limited time trial or
previous password lock.
Can you give us a few more details? What version? Trial or bought? Did
you create it or did someone else? Etc.
