I get an error message about a problem with Microsoft Word

Everytime I start Word today and it started last night. In Word I get a
Microsoft word has enocuntered a problem and will be shut down and something
about it not starting properly or something like that. What could be causing
the problem? I have no idea. it worked fine til yesterday and last night.

This is a common problem and usually indicates registry or normal.dot
