Hi. I have tried to delete an email in my outbox with no success. It says it is sending and this has been going on each time I shut down and reboot my computer. I have Windows XP running.
I have tried right clicking on it when I have the outbox selected to no avail.I have looked at "mail" in the control panel but can't see anything there that will help me. I have unplugged the modem and tried to delete the email when it comes up that it can't send because of errors, but nothing happens. My screen simply freezes and I have to control, alt, delete and close outlook express.
Hopefully you can help. Thanks.

Have you tried a new Profile with new data file?
If not, with outlook closed, use the Mail Applet in the control Panel
(clasic View), or data management if you have such a desktop shortcut.
Create a new Profile, dont Copy, set Prompt for Profile, add a new data
file, add your mail accounts (you will need your ISP settings, name password
etc) Test the accounts, if OK
Open Outlook under this Profile, in Outlook, File>Open>Data
File.......browse to and select your 'old' data file.
In the folder tree view of outllook, navigate to this 2nd set of Personal
Folders, expand the folder set, delete what you need, drag & drop any data
you want into the new empty set of the default Personal Folders (the default
set will be at the 'top' of the tree view

that I have tried all so far with out any success. I just tried your new
suggestion and nothing. It would not let me move, delete, open or anything.
It just kept telling me that it was in the process of sending it. I turned
my internet access off and checked "work offline" in hopes that would take
care of it, while I was doing what you asked and I still received same thing,
in process of sending.
