Depends on whether these virii are running at user level or system level. If
they're at user level, then logging off should terminate them. Otherwise,
they'll continue running even when you sign off and sign on under a
different ID. Also, if they've infected any .EXE or .DLL or .OCX run at log
in for all/any ID, you wouldn't gain anything logging in using different
IDs.

Finally, if your system is currently configured not to allow guest logins,
enabling that feature when you know you have virii to deal with wouldn't be
a good idea. Better to shut down and start up in safe mode, though I forget
the keys you'd need to have pressed when your machine restarts.

Probably not as we have no idea what you are talking about. If you need to
clean your system and have on-line access, then visit Trend Micro's
Housecall for an online free scan and removal.

It's "F8", I think.

Then if it's possible, I'll suggest to reinstall the system if it's a system
level one(Given there 10+ virus found, it's likely).
Although most antivirus software does a good job in removing infected
registry keys, only few are good at "restoring" them. And for some keys that
are removed can bring troubles to the OP.

Oh, just be sure to backup everything first. (Have a ghost image of harddisk
if possible, just to make sure you won't left out anything essential)

You need to eradicate the virus'

I take it you don't have a virus program. You can pick one up for about 30
bucks. Boot the CD and follow the on screen instructions.

Sure: -

Step 1: - Turn off the computer

Step 2: - Package it up and return it to the store.

Step 3: - Stop hanging around the shopping centre with your, probably
equally illiterate, friends and start attending school (particularly the
remedial English lessons).

Step 4: - When you have learnt the basic nuances of written and spoken
English you may be ready to own a computer (with emphasis on "may").
