I lost my administrator access. Is there anyway I can get it back

I Somehow lost my administrator access while re-formatting my computer, and
trying to delete a guest account. My account is still there, and I can do
most things- downloads, etc- though it won't let me re-format, or fix errors,
or have administrator access to do the things I need to clean up my computer.

Is there anyway I can get it back without having to save everything and
clean out my computer and re-install windows XP? I don't even have the disc
for it, as my computer guy- he won't help- installed it.

Any and all answers would be much appreciated. Diane.
