I need to copy a large chart from excel

I have havecopied and pasted a large chart from excel to word in order to
customize it. i need to create a couple of slides with only this chart. I
have tried to copy and paste, but it is not working? i am a beginner at
powerpoint, can someone walk me through it?

Please tell us what "not working" means. We can't see what's happening
there....
